The Red Nose Project is a editorial photography assignment exploring the character of the clown by L.A. based photographer Cameron McIntyre.

Text

I have learned much new from my intimate involvement with clowns and their craft, or perhaps I have re-realized common human traits that only the clown can amplify.    Individuality and personality that is often shaded from view finds the light behind the red nose and no two are alike.

Text

Inspired by a Richard Avedon photograph, The Red Nose Project is a personal venture created to observe the character of the clown.  A literary and performance figure dating back thousands of years; the clown possess true unrivaled emotion and expression.  The clown is not judged, nor judging, the clown is humanity; our flaws, our fears, our follies.
